A surgeon's job is very important in modern society. In the past, this job was traditionally done by men because people believed it required great physical strength and long working hours. However, today both men and women can become excellent surgeons. The main responsibilities of a surgeon are examining patients, performing operations, and taking care of patients after surgery. They must make quick and correct decisions to save people’s lives. To do this job well, a person needs many qualities such as good medical knowledge, carefulness, patience, and the ability to work under pressure. In my opinion, both men and women can do this job equally well because skills and responsibility are more important than gender. People will benefit from having both male and female surgeons since patients can choose the doctor they feel most comfortable with.
