The surgeon’s job was traditionally done by men; because, in the past, people believed that men were stronger and more suitable for difficult medical work. However, today this view has changed a lot. A surgeon’s main responsibilities include examining patients, performing operations, making important medical decisions, and taking responsibility for patients’ lives. To do this job well, a surgeon needs many qualities, such as carefulness, patience, strong professional knowledge, quick decision-making skills, and a calm attitude under pressure. Both men and women can become good surgeons because these qualities are not related to gender. In fact, having both male and female surgeons benefits patients, as they bring different perspectives, experiences, and communication styles. Therefore, surgeons of both genders play an important role in modern healthcare.
