WALT DISNEY – THE FATHER OF MICKEY MOUSE Walt Disney is famous around the world for bringing magic to life. He was the man behind Mickey Mouse and many unforgettable characters that have inspired generations of children and adults alike. Childhood and Education He was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1901. As a child, Walt loved drawing and telling stories. He later studied art and photography at McKinley High School and continued his education at the Chicago Art Institute. Achievements He was a very successful filmmaker who created the first synchronized sound cartoon, Steamboat Willie, which introduced Mickey Mouse. He later created Disneyland, a place where imagination becomes reality. Apart from making films, he was also famous for his creativity and vision in animation. Family He had three brothers and one sister. Walt married Lillian Bounds, and they had two daughters. Death and the Continued Success of The Walt Disney Studios He died in 1966, but his legacy lives on. The Walt Disney Studios continues to produce beloved films and inspire people around the world.
