Nowadays, many young Vietnamese people enjoy celebrating foreign festivals such as Christmas and Halloween. Some worry this may affect traditional culture, but I think it brings more advantages than disadvantages. Firstly, these celebrations help young people connect with the world. Joining Christmas parties or wearing Halloween costumes gives them chances to have fun, be creative, and understand other cultures better. This is important in modern society, where international exchange is increasing every day. Secondly, such festivals also create economic benefits. Shops, cafés, and entertainment places attract more customers during these occasions, which makes the atmosphere lively and supports local businesses. It is true that young people might pay less attention to Vietnamese traditions. However, the best way to solve this problem is to promote our own festivals more strongly, not to ban foreign ones. In conclusion, celebrating foreign festivals is not harmful. It can enrich our lives if we know how to keep a balance with Vietnamese traditions.
