In contrast, old people mainly get news from TV, which represents 42%. Printed newspapers are also important at 29%, while online news sites are used by just 6%.

Some are worried about the influence of foreign cultures, but I think celebrating these events brings more advantages than disadvantages. Firstly, joining international festivals allows young people to learn about different cultures. Taking part in Halloween games or Christmas parties helps them understand global traditions and become more open-minded in today’s world. Secondly, these celebrations make life more exciting. Young people enjoy wearing costumes, decorating houses, and spending time with friends. Such activities encourage creativity and bring joy to the community. It is true that we should not forget traditional festivals such as Tet or Mid-Autumn. However, these events remain very important in Vietnamese families. Foreign festivals do not replace them but simply add more variety to cultural life. In conclusion, celebrating Christmas or Halloween is not harmful.
