In recent years, many young Vietnamese people have started celebrating festivals such as Christmas and Halloween. In my opinion, this trend has both advantages and disadvantages, but the benefits are more notable.

On the positive side, these festivals give young people opportunities to experience new cultures and express creativity. Activities like wearing costumes, decorating houses, or joining Christmas parties make life more exciting and help people bond with friends and family. They also reflect the openness of Vietnamese society in a globalized world.

However, some concerns are reasonable. If young people become too focused on foreign celebrations, they may lose interest in important Vietnamese traditions such as Tet or Mid-Autumn Festival. Over time, this could weaken cultural identity and reduce respect for national values.

In conclusion, I believe celebrating foreign festivals is acceptable as long as Vietnamese traditions are not forgotten. The key is to find a balance between enjoying global culture and preserving local heritage.
