Giới thiệu về bản thân
In recent years, many young Vietnamese people have become enthusiastic about celebrating foreign festivals such as Christmas and Halloween. Some consider this harmless entertainment, while others worry about the potential loss of cultural identity. In my opinion, embracing these occasions can be positive, provided that traditional values are not neglected.
On the one hand, joining in global festivals helps young people feel connected to the wider world. Christmas or Halloween parties give them opportunities to relax, strengthen friendships, and express creativity through costumes and decorations. Such activities also reflect an open-minded attitude and the willingness to learn about other cultures, which is valuable in today’s era of globalization.
On the other hand, there is a risk that over-celebrating foreign festivals may overshadow Vietnamese traditions such as Tết Trung Thu or Giỗ Tổ Hùng Vương. If young people pay less attention to local festivals, important cultural values could gradually fade away. Therefore, balance is essential.
In conclusion, celebrating foreign festivals is not harmful as long as Vietnamese youth also cherish and preserve their own cultural traditions. By doing so, they can enjoy both global integration and national pride.
