The Influence of Foreign Festivals on Vietnamese Youth

In recent years, many young Vietnamese people have started celebrating foreign festivals such as Christmas and Halloween. Some believe this trend is harmless fun, while others fear it may weaken traditional culture. In my opinion, celebrating these festivals can be positive if young people keep a balanced attitude.

First, joining global celebrations helps young people learn about other cultures and connect with the world. Festivals like Halloween encourage creativity through costumes and games, while Christmas promotes values such as sharing and kindness. These experiences make life more colorful and open-minded.

However, we should not forget our traditional festivals such as Tet or the Mid-Autumn Festival. If young people become too focused on foreign celebrations, they may lose interest in their own cultural roots. Therefore, it is important to enjoy international festivals while still respecting and preserving Vietnamese traditions.

In conclusion, celebrating foreign festivals is not a problem as long as we balance them with pride in our own culture.
