Nowadays, many young Vietnamese people celebrate festivals like Christmas and Halloween. In my opinion, this trend is positive as long as we balance it with respect for our own culture.

On one hand, celebrating global festivals helps young people learn about different cultures. It broadens their horizons and promotes cultural exchange. For example, Christmas teaches the value of giving and kindness, while Halloween encourages creativity through costumes and parties. These festivals bring joy and excitement, creating opportunities for friends and families to gather and have fun.

On the other hand, some worry that foreign festivals may overshadow traditional Vietnamese customs. This concern is valid because it is important to preserve our own culture and heritage. If young people focus too much on international celebrations, they might forget important Vietnamese festivals like Tet or Mid-Autumn Festival.

In conclusion, celebrating foreign festivals can enrich young people’s lives if done in balance. We should enjoy these new experiences while also appreciating and preserving our unique Vietnamese traditions. This way, we embrace diversity without losing our identity.
