In recent years, many young Vietnamese people have shown great interest in foreign festivals such as Christmas and Halloween. While some worry about the negative influence of these celebrations, I personally believe they bring more benefits than harm. Firstly, joining these festivals allows young people to broaden their cultural horizons. By celebrating Halloween, for example, they can learn about Western traditions, costumes, and stories. This helps them become more open-minded and better prepared for international communication in the future. Secondly, such festivals create joyful moments and strengthen social bonds. Many young people enjoy gathering with friends, taking part in games, or exchanging gifts at Christmas. These activities bring happiness and relieve stress after studying hard. Of course, we should not forget our own traditional festivals such as Tết or the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is important to balance between preserving national identity and exploring foreign cultures. As long as young people still respect Vietnamese traditions, celebrating Christmas or Halloween should not be considered harmful. In conclusion, enjoying foreign festivals is a positive trend, provided that it goes hand in hand with protecting our unique cultural values.
