Nowadays, many young Vietnamese people enjoy celebrating festivals such as Christmas and Halloween. In my opinion, this trend has mostly positive effects and can be embraced, as long as it does not replace traditional Vietnamese customs. Celebrating these global festivals allows young people to learn about different cultures and customs. For example, during Christmas, they may understand the spirit of giving, while Halloween can teach creativity through costumes and decorations. Participating in such events also improves social skills, as young people interact with friends and communities in fun and meaningful ways. Moreover, enjoying foreign festivals does not necessarily mean forgetting Vietnamese traditions. Young people can balance both, appreciating their own culture while learning from others. This openness helps them become more tolerant, globally aware, and better prepared for the internationalized world. Of course, parents and schools should guide students to maintain respect for local values and ensure that foreign festivals are celebrated in a healthy, educational manner.

In conclusion, celebrating international festivals is beneficial, encouraging cultural exchange, social interaction, and personal growth without threatening Vietnamese traditions.
