In my neighbourhood, traditions and customs are deeply cherished and actively observed. Every year, we celebrate Tet Nguyen Dan, the Lunar New Year, with families gathering to prepare traditional foods like bánh chưng and decorate their homes with colourful flowers. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, children parade with lanterns and enjoy mooncakes, while adults share stories and tea under the full moon. These celebrations are not just about rituals; they are about strengthening community bonds and passing down cultural values to the younger generation. We also have smaller, more personal traditions, like family dinners every Sunday, where we share our week’s experiences and support each other. These customs create a sense of belonging and continuity in our rapidly changing world.
