1.Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) is the most important festival in Vietnam, a time for family reunions and sharing happiness. Our family always looks forward to this special occasion, and we have many meaningful activities together. Before Tet, my family works together to prepare our home. We spend days cleaning every corner of the house and decorating it with vibrant flowers like peach blossoms or kumquat trees . We also go shopping for new clothes and delicious traditional foods, especially making Banh Chung (sticky rice cakes). This is a fun activity where everyone helps wrap the cakes, ensuring they are perfect for the New Year. On New Year's Eve, the whole family gathers for a warm, traditional dinner. We offer incense to our ancestors to show gratitude and pray for peace and good fortune for the coming year. After dinner, we often watch fireworks and exchange New Year wishes, filled with laughter and joy. The first days of Tet are for visiting relatives and friends. Children receive lucky money in red envelopes from elders, which brings excitement. We also go to the pagoda to pray for health, peace, and success for everyone. For me, Tet is not just about holidays; it's a precious time to bond with my family, share stories, and strengthen our love.
