The pie charts illustrate the main sources of news for teenagers, young adults and old people. Overall, television and online news sites are the most popular sources, although their popularity varies among age groups.
Among teenagers, online news sites dominate, accounting for 52%, while television is the second most common source at 37%. Printed newspapers and other sources are used by only a small minority, at 7% and 4% respectively.
For young adults, television remains the leading source of news, with 35%, closely followed by online news sites at 33%. Other sources account for 26%, whereas printed newspapers are the least preferred, at just 6%.
By contrast, old people mainly rely on traditional media. Television is the most popular source at 42%, and nearly a third read printed newspapers. Only 6% use online news sites, while around a quarter depend on other sources.
