The charts illustrate the main news sources used by teenagers, young adults and old people. Overall, there is a clear difference in news consumption habits among the three age groups, especially between younger and older people.
Teenagers mainly get their news from online news sites, which account for 52%, making it the most popular source for this group. TV is the second most common source at 37%, while printed newspapers and other sources are used by only small minorities, at 7% and 4% respectively.
Among young adults, TV remains the leading source at 35%, followed closely by online news sites at 33%. Other sources also play a more significant role for this group, reaching 26%, whereas printed newspapers are the least preferred at 6%.
In contrast, old people rely heavily on traditional media. TV is the dominant source at 42%, and printed newspapers account for 29%. Online news sites are used by only 6%, showing a clear generational gap in digital news consumption.
