A PROPOSAL FOR A WELCOME EVENT

1. Introduction

We would like to propose the "Lunar New Year Festival 2026" to celebrate the most important traditional holiday in Vietnam. This event aims to create a joyful atmosphere for students before the Tet holiday and preserve our cultural values.

2. Details about the idea/project

• Time: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday, January 16th, 2026 (Before the Tet break).

• Location: The school's main playground and the multi-purpose hall.

• Activities:

• Chung Cake Making Competition: Each class will compete to wrap the most beautiful Chung cakes.

• Traditional Games: Tug of war, bamboo dancing , and blindfolded pot smashing.

• Tet Market Stalls: Students can decorate booths and sell traditional Tet snacks or handmade crafts.

• Music Performance: A special show featuring Spring songs and "Ao Dai" fashion walking.

3. Goals and benefits

The main goal is to provide a relaxing environment for students after their exams. This event will help students understand more about Vietnamese Tet traditions and strengthen the bond between classmates through team-working activities. It also encourages creativity and entrepreneurship through the market stalls.

4. Conclusion

We hope the School Board will consider and approve this proposal for a meaningful Tet celebration. We believe that this festival will bring great joy and memorable experiences to everyone in our school.
