WALT DISNEY – THE FATHER OF MICKEY MOUSE Walt Disney is famous around the world for creating some of the most beloved cartoon characters, especially Mickey Mouse. He was a pioneer in the animation industry and brought joy to millions of people through his imagination and creativity. Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He grew up on a farm in Missouri, where he developed his love for drawing. He attended McKinley High School in Chicago and later studied art at the Chicago Art Institute. He became a very successful filmmaker, creating classic animated movies such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. Apart from making films, Walt Disney was also famous for building Disneyland, the first-ever theme park of its kind, which opened in 1955. He had four brothers and one sister. Walt married Lillian Bounds, and they had two daughters. Walt Disney died on December 15, 1966, but his dream lives on.
