WALT DISNEY – THE FATHER OF MICKEY MOUSE Walt Disney is famous around the world for being the creator of Mickey Mouse and many beloved animated films. His imagination and creativity brought joy to millions of children and adults, making him one of the most influential figures in the entertainment industry. He was born in 1901 in Chicago. From an early age, Walt developed a love for drawing and painting. He attended Brenton Grammar School but dropped out at the age of sixteen to follow his artistic passions. Walt Disney was a very successful film-maker who created popular works such as Mickey Mouse, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Cinderella. Apart from making films, he was also famous for creating Disneyland, the first-ever theme park, which later expanded into Disney parks around the world. Throughout his career, he won 26 Oscars, three Golden Globe Awards, and one Emmy Award. In his personal life, Walt had three older brothers, one younger sister, and two daughters with his wife, Lillian Bounds. He died in 1966, but The Walt Disney Studios has continued to thrive, inspiring generations to dream and believe in the power of imagination.
