WALT DISNEY – THE FATHER OF MICKEY MOUSE Walt Disney is famous around the world for creating Mickey Mouse and building one of the greatest entertainment empires in history. His imagination and creativity brought joy to millions of people and changed the world of animation. Childhood and education Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1901. He grew up in a large family with four brothers and a sister. From an early age, he loved drawing and storytelling. He attended McKinley High School and later took evening classes at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. Achievements Disney became a very successful filmmaker who created Mickey Mouse in 1928. Apart from films, he was also famous for founding Disneyland in California, the first theme park of its kind. He won 22 Academy Awards, more than anyone else in history, and his studio produced classics such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Cinderella. Family He married Lillian Bounds in 1925, and they had two daughters. Death and legacy Walt Disney died in 1966, but his legacy continues. Today, The Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland parks around the world remain symbols of imagination and happiness.
