Traditionally, the job of a surgeon was mostly done by men because people believed it required great physical strength for long hours. However, the main responsibilities involve much more than that. Surgeons must diagnose patients, perform complex operations to treat injuries or diseases, and provide careful post-operative care. To succeed, they need specific qualities like excellent hand-eye coordination, patience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Today, both men and women can definitely do this job because gender does not determine medical skill or intelligence. Modern surgery relies on precision and knowledge rather than just physical power. Society benefits greatly from having both male and female surgeons because it brings diverse perspectives to healthcare. Patients also feel more comfortable when they have a choice, which improves the overall quality of medical treatment.
