Historically, the surgeon’s job was mostly done by men, but this is changing today. The main responsibilities of a surgeon include performing operations to treat diseases and checking patients' health before and after surgery. To do this job well, a person needs to be very calm, careful, and have good health because they have to stand for many hours.

In my opinion, both men and women can be great surgeons because they both have the intelligence and skills needed for medicine. Having both male and female surgeons is very helpful. Some patients may feel more comfortable talking to a doctor of the same gender. Moreover, a diverse medical team can share different ideas to solve problems better. In short, anyone with passion and talent can succeed in this career.
