Traditionally, surgery is a job done mostly by men. A surgeon’s main job is to do operations on patients. They check the patient’s health, perform surgery to fix problems inside the body, and take care of the patient after the operation. To do this job well, a person needs to be very smart, calm under pressure, and have good hands to do careful work. They also need to be kind to help patients feel safe. I believe both men and women can be good surgeons. The job needs a smart mind and careful hands, not strong muscles. Men and women both have these abilities. In fact, having both male and female surgeons is good for everyone. Patients may feel more comfortable talking to someone of the same gender. Also, men and women can think differently, so working together can help make better decisions for patients.
