Historically, the job of a surgeon has been traditionally done by men due to long-standing gender stereotypes in medicine. However, the landscape is changing. The main responsibilities of a surgeon include performing complex operations, diagnosing patients' ailments, and providing post-operative care to ensure proper healing. To excel in this field, individuals need specific qualities such as high precision, the ability to stay calm under intense pressure, and great physical stamina for long hours in the operating room.
Both men and women can certainly do this job because surgical skill is a matter of training and dedication rather than gender. Ultimately, people benefit significantly from having both male and female surgeons. A diverse medical team brings different perspectives and can make a wider range of patients feel comfortable and understood, leading to a more effective and equal healthcare system
