The surgeon’s job has traditionally been done by men, but this view is outdated. In reality, men and women have the same ability to learn and apply medical knowledge. Surgeons are responsible for performing operations on patients and making important decisions that directly affect patients’ health and safety. This work requires excellent eyesight, skillful hands, and strong teamwork and communication skills. In addition, surgeons must have great physical and mental strength because they often perform long and tiring operations under high pressure. Women can be just as mentally strong as men, and both genders can handle the demands of the job equally well. Therefore, both men and women can become great surgeons, and patients benefit from this equality in healthcare.
