Nowadays, technology plays an important role in teenagers’ lives. They use smartphones, computers, and tablets for studying, entertainment, and communication. However, I believe that parents should strictly limit teenagers’ screen time because too much screen use can affect both their studies and their health.


First of all, when teenagers spend too much time looking at screens, they have little time left for homework or other important activities. Many of them spend hours watching online videos, checking social media, or playing computer games. As a result, their academic performance often decreases because they cannot focus on studying or completing assignments on time. Limiting screen time can help teenagers manage their time better and stay productive.


Secondly, too much screen time is harmful to teenagers’ health. Staring at screens for long periods can damage their eyesight, reduce sleep time, and even cause weight gain because they sit too long without exercise. By setting screen limits, parents can encourage their children to go outside, play sports, or spend time with family and friends instead of being glued to their devices.


In conclusion, parents should strictly limit teenagers’ screen time to protect their well-being and support their success in school. Setting reasonable rules and helping teenagers use technology wisely will lead to a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.
