Typhoons are a common natural disaster in Vietnam, especially along the central and northern coasts. The typhoon season typically lasts from July to November, bringing strong winds, heavy rainfall, and widespread flooding. These storms can cause significant damage to homes, infrastructure, and crops, disrupting the lives of millions of people. In recent years, the intensity and frequency of typhoons have increased, likely due to climate change. The Vietnamese government and local communities have been working to improve disaster preparedness and response measures, including building stronger infrastructure, implementing early warning systems, and conducting evacuation drills. Despite these efforts, typhoons continue to pose a major threat to the country.
