In today’s digital world, teenagers spend a huge amount of time on phones, computers, and televisions. Many people believe that parents should strictly limit their children’s screen time, and I completely agree with this idea.
First, too much screen time can harm teenagers’ physical and mental health. Staring at screens for long hours can cause eye strain, lack of sleep, and poor posture. Moreover, spending excessive time online may lead to addiction, anxiety, or isolation from real-life relationships. By setting clear limits, parents can help their children live a healthier and more balanced life.
Second, limiting screen time encourages teenagers to focus on more meaningful activities. They can spend time studying, doing sports, or developing hobbies instead of scrolling through social media for hours. This not only improves their skills but also helps them connect better with family and friends.
Of course, screens can be useful for learning and entertainment, so parents should not ban them completely. The key is to guide teenagers to use technology wisely and set reasonable boundaries.
In conclusion, parents should strictly but fairly control teenagers’ screen time to protect their health, improve their habits, and prepare them for a balanced future.
