Teenagers mainly get news from online news sites, which account for 52%, while TV is the second most popular source at 37%. Printed newspapers are used by only 7% of teenagers, and other sources make up a very small proportion, at 4%.

For young adults, TV remains the most common source at 35%, closely followed by online news sites at 33%. Other sources represent 26%, whereas printed newspapers are the least preferred, at 6%.

In contrast, old people rely mostly on TV, which accounts for 42%. Printed newspapers are also significant at 29%, while online news sites are used by only 6%. Other sources make up 23%.

In recent years, more and more young Vietnamese people have shown great interest in foreign festivals such as Christmas and Halloween. Some people welcome this trend, while others are worried that it may weaken traditional culture. In my opinion, celebrating these events brings more benefits than drawbacks.

Firstly, participating in festivals like Christmas or Halloween provides young people with opportunities to have fun, relax, and strengthen social connections. These celebrations often involve activities such as decorating, dressing up, or giving gifts, which can create a joyful atmosphere and help people bond with friends and family.

Secondly, joining in foreign festivals allows young people to broaden their cultural knowledge. Experiencing different customs and traditions can make them more open-minded and adaptable in a globalized world. This is especially important as Vietnam becomes increasingly connected with other countries.

Of course, it is also important to preserve and promote Vietnamese traditions, such as Tết or the Mid-Autumn Festival. As long as young people respect and value their own culture, celebrating foreign festivals does not mean losing identity.

In conclusion, enjoying events like Christmas and Halloween can enrich young people’s lives, provided that they also maintain pride in Vietnamese traditions.
