Dear Sir or Madam,
Re: Application for the position of a part-time receptionist
I am writing to apply for the position of a part-time receptionist at Viet Organic Garden. I am currently a Grade 12 student with good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility. Last summer, I worked as a volunteer at a community centre, where I welcomed guests and helped answer phone calls. This experience has helped me become more confident and organised.
I consider myself hard-working, friendly, and able to work well under pressure. I am also available at weekends as required. I would be delighted to contribute to your team and provide good service to customers.
I am available for an interview at any time that suits you. If my application is successful, I will be able to start work immediately.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Mai Linh
Nowadays, more and more youngVietnamese people celebrate festivals such as Christmas and Halloween. Some people think there is nothing wrong with this while others are worried about the influence of foreign cultures. In my opinion, celebrating world festivalshas more positive than negative impact on young Vietnamese.
Firstly, festivals are a great way to understand a nation's culture. Taking part in celebrations can help young people learn more aboutother people's traditions and customs. For example, Christmas is a typical holiday in many foreign countries, so when joining the festivities, young people can learn about its origin and history, the tradition of decorating one's home and getting presents for family and close friends, and puting them under the Christmas tree.
Secondly, festivals are special events that help bring fun, happiness and joy to youngpeople's lives. They give an opportunity for young people to relax and spend enjoyable time with their friends and family. People can enjoy the festive spirit by watching performances, dressing up and eating festive food.
Finally, it cannot be denied that world festivals also encourage extracurricular activities at schools. Organising special events every year, such as Halloween parties or Christmas fairs, encourages students to discover interesting things about the festivals, socialisewith friends from other cultures or create their own performances.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that celebrating world festivals in Viet Nam does more good than harm to young people. They can have fun, broaden their cultural knowledgeand enjoy their school life more.
