Walt Disney is famous around the world for his imagination and creativity. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 5, 1901. He attended art classes at the Kansas City Art Institute and the Chicago Art Institute, where he developed his passion for drawing. He was a very successful film-maker who created many iconic characters, including the world-famous Mickey Mouse in 1928, who became a symbol of his company. Apart from making films, he was also famous for pioneering the concept of themed amusement parks. He opened the first Disneyland in 1955, making him a true visionary. He had three brothers and one sister. He and his wife, Lillian, had two daughters, Diane and Sharon. He died in 1966, but The Walt Disney Company continued to grow and achieve great success, ensuring his legacy lives on through his beloved stories and characters.
