In recent years, world festivals such as Christmas, Halloween, and Valentine’s Day have become increasingly popular among young Vietnamese people. In my opinion, celebrating these festivals brings both positive and negative impacts.

On the positive side, international festivals help young people learn more about global cultures and traditions. Taking part in these celebrations allows them to broaden their horizons and become more open-minded. For example, decorating for Christmas or wearing costumes on Halloween encourages creativity and a sense of connection with the world. These events also provide opportunities for social interaction, helping young people relax and build friendships.

However, there are some negative effects as well. Many young people tend to focus on spending money on gifts, clothes, or parties, which may lead to wastefulness and a loss of traditional Vietnamese values. In addition, some only celebrate for social media attention rather than genuine cultural appreciation.

In conclusion, world festivals can be beneficial for young Vietnamese people if celebrated in a meaningful and balanced way that respects both global and local traditions.
