Should Teenagers’ Screen Time Be Limited? In today’s digital age, smartphones, laptops, and tablets are an essential part of teenagers’ daily lives. They use them for studying, entertainment, and connecting with friends. However, the amount of time teenagers spend on screens has raised serious concerns among parents, teachers, and health experts. I believe that teenagers’ screen time should be limited because too much screen use can harm their health, reduce productivity, and weaken real-life relationships. First, excessive screen time can negatively affect teenagers’ physical and mental health. Spending long hours staring at screens often leads to eye strain, poor posture, and sleep problems. Even more worrying, studies have shown that heavy use of social media can increase stress, anxiety, and low self-esteem. By limiting screen time, teenagers can develop healthier habits and spend more time on activities that improve their well-being, such as exercise or outdoor play. Second, limiting screen time helps teenagers become more productive and focused. Many young people claim they use their devices for schoolwork, but distractions like social media, video games, and online videos are just a click away. When teenagers set boundaries for their screen use, they can concentrate better on studying, reading, or learning new skills. This can improve their academic performance and prepare them for future success. Finally, less screen time allows teenagers to build stronger relationships in the real world. Constantly scrolling through phones during family meals or outings prevents genuine communication. By reducing screen use, teenagers can spend more meaningful time with family and friends, engage in face-to-face conversations, and develop social skills that are essential in adulthood. Of course, screens are not entirely harmful. They provide valuable educational resources and allow teenagers to connect with others across the globe. However, the key is balance. Without limits, screens can easily take over daily life, leaving little space for healthier, more enriching experiences. In conclusion, limiting teenagers’ screen time is necessary for their health, productivity, and relationships. By setting boundaries, parents and schools can help young people enjoy the benefits of technology without being controlled by it. A balanced approach will ensure that screens remain a helpful tool, not a harmful distraction.

Hi Anna,

Thanks for your invitation. I’d love to come to your house this Sunday and try some healthy recipes together. The book has so many good ideas. I’ll bring fresh mangoes from my garden for the dish.

See you soon,

Linda

Environmental Problem in My Country: Air Pollution Air pollution is a serious environmental problem in my country. The main causes include vehicle emissions, industrial waste, and burning of fossil fuels. In big cities, millions of motorbikes and cars release toxic gases into the air every day. Factories located near residential areas also contribute significantly to this issue. As a result, the air quality becomes worse, leading to health problems such as asthma, lung cancer, and heart disease. To solve this problem, the government should encourage people to use public transport and invest more in eco-friendly energy sources like solar and wind power. Strict regulations should be applied to factories that emit harmful gases. Moreover, raising public awareness about the harmful effects of air pollution can help reduce harmful activities. In conclusion, air pollution is a dangerous problem, but with proper action and cooperation, it can be controlled.
