The Cau Ngu festival is prepared with great care and sophistication, showing the respect and concern of the people here. On the day of the festival, many people and tourists come to see and participate. Cau Ngu festival starts taking place early in the morning, with Nghinh Ong ritual. The main activity of this ritual is the procession of Ong Nam Hai's palanquin to the sea to board the dragon boat to go out to sea. Those chosen to carry the palanquin are carefully selected, must be healthy young men. Along the way, people stand in rows, offer offerings and smoke incense. Going to the beach, there will be fifteen boats arranged in a V-shape facing the sea, each boat prepares a decent offering.
