Thuở xưa, nước ta bị quân Hán đô hộ. Chúng rất tàn ác, hà hiếp nhân dân ta và ra sức vơ vét của cải.

Bấy giờ ở huyện Mê Linh có hai người con gái tài giỏi: chị là Trưng Trắc và em là Trưng Nhị. Cả hai bà đều giỏi võ nghệ và nuôi chí giành lại non sông. Trưng Trắc có chồng là Thi Sách. Thi Sách là Lạc tướng cũng cùng chí hướng với vợ. Tướng giặc là Tô Định làm thứ sử Giao Châu thời ấy biết được bèn lập mưu giết chết Thi Sách. Nợ nước, thù nhà, Hai Bà Trưng phất cờ khởi nghĩa. Quân của hai bà đi đến đâu, giặc tan đến đó. Với đoàn quân khởi nghĩa hừng hực khí thế chiến đấu và chiến thắng, Hai Bà tiến về giải phóng thành Luy Lâu. Tướng giặc Tô Định tháo chạy về nước. Hai Bà lên ngôi vua, xưng là Trưng Nữ Vương.

Năm 43, quân giặc cử Mã Viện, đại tướng lão luyện đốc quân đàn áp cuộc khởi nghĩa. Hai Bà lãnh đạo quân ta chiên đấu anh dũng nhưng vì thế giặc quá mạnh, yếu thế, Hai Bà nhảy xuống sông Hát Giang tuẫn tiết. Dân ta lại chìm trong vòng áp bức của giặc phương Bắc. Dù vậy, tấm gương oanh liệt của Hai Bà Trưng vẫn ngời sáng nghìn thu.

   Ba ngàn năm dựng nước giữ nước có rất nhiều tấm gương sáng. Trong số đó, người đã để lại cho em nhiều ấn tượng nhất là ông Lý Thường Kiệt. Năm 1077, quân Tống sang xâm lược nước ta, ông đã lãnh đạo nhân dân kháng chiến chống quân giặc và giành thắng lợi vẻ vang. Đặc biệt, trong lần đại chiến quân Tống, ông đã làm một bài thơ tứ tuyệt, sai người nấp trong đền thờ Thánh Tam Giang, đêm đến ngâm bài thơ sau:

       " Sông núi nước Nam, vua Nam ở

         Rành rành định phận ở sách trời

       Cớ sao lũ giặc sang xâm phạm

       Bay sẽ tan tành chết sạch toi "

         Từ hôm sau, bài thơ được lan truyền ra khắp nơi làm cho quân giặc khiếp sợ. Khí thế đã tăng, ông bèn mở cuộc tiến công, đánh cho quân giặc đại bại, phải cầu hòa và rút về nước. Ông được lịch sử ghi nhận là anh hùng kiệt xuất. Em rất tự hào và khâm phục ông

All of my four cats are American Shorthair, and they are very beautiful. Just the name, they have short layers of fur which are not very fluffy with different colors. Their faces are pretty small in contrast with their big round eyes. In my opinion, their fangs are a little bit shorter and smaller than other breeds, but those fangs do not prevent them from catching and killing some of the biggest mouse. Their paws are very soft and cute, but I have to trim their claws once a month so they cannot scratch the sofa or even my face. I feed them with canned food for cats, but sometimes they feel the need to eat some snacks besides their main meals such as little birds and mouse. I love them very much, and they will always my best friends.

Cats are wonderful pets. They are very cute and sweet and very gentle too. I have many friends who have cats as their pets. Cats are bubbly and lively too. I also have a cat as my pet and I love her very much.

I have named my little pet cat as Lilly. She came home when she was a kitten. I still remember, she could not even open her eyes. We fed her milk and took good care of her. Made her a warm bed to sleep and a little bowl for her to have milk.

When she started to grow, we trained her for her toiletry habits and on playing with us. She is a very intelligent cat and understands very fast what we tell her. She is now big and walks across the lawn with all the pride that she could.

She plays with us and her favourite place would be on het mat, near the fire place in our home. She loves to be in a warm and cozy place. We have tied a small bell around her neck and so we know where she would be. She also loves the bell.

We feed her with milk and fish bones and other food items. She loves when we have something special made for her. She roams around lazily, but when there is a need, she is very alert and attentive. She is also a wonderful cleaner of other insects in the house. She loves to play with other cats in the neighbourhood.

She has two beautiful blue colour eyes and is light brown in colour. She loves to be pampered and loves brushing her neck all the time. While we sit at some place, she plays between our legs and she loves that comfort.

For any meal of the day, she specifically needs one piece of what I have from me and she comes to me anytime that I have my food. I love her so much and she loves me too. She knows my friends well and she plays with them too. Lilly is a lovely and sweet cat and we all love her very much.

I have a closest friend and her name is Mary. She is twelve years old and she is a student at Le Loi secondary school. She s listening to music and she often listen it in her free time.Her favorite subject is English and she good at learning English. Every day she and I go to school together because we are classmates.In the afternoon, she stays at home, so she helps her mother with the housework. She cleans the floor,washes the dishes and waters the flowers in her garden. After that, I and she often play badminton. We will forever be good friends.

I have a bestfiend and also a neighborhood whoes name is Tuan. His age is the same as mine but he looks older than me. Because he’s very tall and thin, everybody calls him “a palm”. Tuan has a short curly hair and beautiful chestnut brown eyes that appeal of many girls. He is a person of very few words that makes him to be a good listener. Anyone, who has ever contacted with Tuan, thinks about him as a glacial boy. In fact he’s really warm and nice. He’s willing to help people whenever possible. When I was in secondary school, I found Math was very difficult to understand but Tuan solved the Math problems so fast. He spent all seven nights of weeks to help me in Math while he could go out to relax. Tuan was a good all-rounder exception English. Most of the teachers in school and parents highly appreaciated his talent. Only a month ago, he received two full scholarships from America Government to study oversea but he has not yet decided whether he should go or not. Although he has not spent much time to take part in sport activities, he is a well football player. We were in Ha Noi Young Football Team when we were in grade 10. Everything seems perfect to my bestfriend but he’s very modest and always talks to himself to give more effort. I’m proud of Tuan and pray for the good things beside him forever.

After stress and pressure in life, one always has a place to come back called home. I love decorating my own bedroom. My bedroom is on the second floor near my parents’ bedroom. There is a double bed for my younger sister and me. I usually lie above her so that it is easier for me to study late at night without annoying her. The room has a big wood wardrobe, which contains all of our clothes such as: dress, jean, t-shirt and sock. Beside, my mother bought us a dressing table on my 15^th birthday; therefore, I put all the makeup-stuff and bandeau here. In the corner stand a large bookshelf in order to store books, academic document as well as family passe-partout. Next to it is a table with a desktop so as to help us investigate more knowledge on the internet. My sister and I really enjoy decorating the room with sker such as: mickey, boo bear, hello kitty, angry bird and so on. Beside, we also sk glow-in-the-dark tape on the ceiling and it turn out to light when darkness comes. Moreover, the room is designed with pink and deep blue so it brings us cozy and fresh feeling when putting step into it. The bathroom is in my room too. It is quite small but always clean and restful as we tidy it up every week. My father suggests having a bathtub; however, we don’t agree since we enjoy having a shower instead of lying in tub. Bedroom is a resting place after a hard studying day; hence we always clean it up so that it is neat and comfortable.

At noon, the sky was blue without a cloud. The highlight of summer weather is sudden thunderstorms. Heavy rain and lightning. My yard is often flooded after summer rains. After the rains left, the sunlight rejoined. This combination created beautiful rainbows. In the evening, it was windy and extremely cool. My house is next to the beach, the summer winds blow in from the sea, causing coconut trees to flutter in the wind. The view is great. I really like summer weather.
