Writing a holiday postcard
One of the last things you hear from your friends or neighbours as you go away on holiday is "Send us a postcard!"
It's one of those great holiday traditions, almost as "British" as a bucket and a spade on a beach. We send postcards (often on the last day of the holiday) to tell our friends what a great time we're having.
Holiday postcards have three main characteriss. They're short, positive (even if it's raining) and predictable in their content.
Here's a quick guide to writing a postcard. Choose any one of the adjectives to complete your sentences.
Hi (name of friend / neighbour / colleague)
We're having a great / wonderful / fantas / fabulous time here in ......
The weather is hot / sunny / perfect and we're spending our days on the beach / sightseeing / relaxing / exploring the local area / by the pool.
The food is interesting / spicy / pretty good and the other people hare are (nationality), friendly / unfriendly / great.
See you on (day you get back)

Hi, my name is .... I am a student. My favourite season is summer because I have the longest holiday in summer - summer vacation. Last summer, I had a trip to Nha Trang with my parent. This was a short trip - only three day but we had a great time there. We came here by plane. That was the first time I sit on plane and I felt very fantas. At there, we stayed at an lovely hotel. First day, we went to the mót popular place in Nha Trang - a beautiful beach. The water there was very cool and suitable to go in the summer. Next day, we went to some ancient pagoda and ate delicous seafood. Finally, we went to Tri Nguyen Aquarium and took a lot of photos. I also buy some souvenirs for my friend. Now, I very miss there and wish to come to Nha Trang again.

Ha Long Bay is fantas ! I 'm having a good time with my family here . The weather has been cool . The hotels 's okay , the seafood 's tasty , the people are incredibly friendly . In this day , we took a boat around Tuan Chau island , it is very beautiful . Then , we took many photos and Ha s it a lots . Finally , we enjoyed seafood . Tomorrow , , we are going to visit Dau Go cave , I hope is it very interesting.

We’re having a good time here in Ho Chi Minh City, but the weather isn’t very nice. It rained almost every day, many streets were flooded. So I limited to go out. And there were too many traffic jams. There are many vehicles at rush hours and traffic jams occur frequently. It was more terrible when it rained heavily. However I also had great time when visiting some places. I went camping in Suoi Tien Park, I swam shallow in the artificial sea. If you went the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace, you would see a lot of physical reminders of the past. My feeling is very great and very difficult to describe. My period in Ho Chi Minh City was short and because of objective reasons, so I only visited those places. Tell you something, when I come back, we talk to each other more.

Well, Nha Trang is a major city in Khanh Hoa province, Vietnam. This beautiful city is a popular destination for tourists because of its wonderful beaches with turquoise water. On our five days there, we enjoyed eating seafood, sightseeing some famous places, and walking along the beach at night. All the sights are so magnificent (tráng lệ). The weather was perfect, too. It was sunny and windy during the time we were there. Local people are also very hospitable. The trip has made a good impression on all members of my family.
