Động từ chỉ giác quan
Một số động từ chỉ tri giác phổ biến trong tiếng Anh có thể kể đến như: look, see, notice, hear, watch,…
Nếu trong câu chủ động, động từ theo sau các từ chỉ giác quan ở dạng nguyên thể, thì trong câu bị động được chuyển thành dạng to V.
Ví dụ:
I heard her scream last night.
(Tôi nghe thấy cô ấy hét đêm qua)
She was heard to scream last night.
(Cô ấy được nghe thấy hét đêm qua)
I saw him talking to someone.
(Tôi thấy anh ta nói chuyện với ai đó)
He was seen taking to someone
(Anh ta được nhìn thấy đang nói chuyện với ai đó)
Động từ Let
Câu chủ động với cấu trúc “let somebody do something” thường được chuyển thành cấu trúc “be allowed to do something” trong câu bị động.
Ví dụ:
My mom let me go out tonight.
(Mẹ tôi cho tôi đi chơi tối nay)
I was allowed to go out tonight.
(Tôi được cho phép đi chơi tối nay)
Trong câu chủ động, nếu động từ nguyên thể sau “let” có kèm một tân ngữ cùng đối tượng với chủ ngữ thì vế “chủ ngữ + let” được giữ nguyên, chỉ biến đổi phần sau.
Ví dụ:
He let her hug him.
(Anh ấy để cô ấy ôm)
He let himself be hugged.
(Anh ấy để bản thân được ôm)
Don’t let them bother you.
(Đừng để họ làm phiền bạn)
Don’t let yourself be bothered.
(Đừng để bản thân bạn bị làm phiền)
Khẳng định: Let + O + be + VpII

Động từ Need/ Want
Cấu trúc: S + need/ want + V_ing/ to be VpII (mang nghĩa bị động)
Ví dụ:
My car needs fixed
(Cái xe của tôi cần sửa)
My car need to be fixed
(Xe của tối cần được sửa.
My dog wants to be cuddling
(Con chó của tôi muốn vuốt ve)
My dog wants cuddling.
(Chó của tôi muốn được vuốt ve)
Câu bị động với Gerund + V-ing
Các gerund đứng sau một số động từ như suggest, recommend, advise,… trong câu chủ động sẽ được thay bằng cấu trúc “should be VpII” trong câu bị động.
Ví dụ:
They advised locking the doors carefully at night.
(Họ khuyên nên khóa cửa cẩn thận vào ban đêm)
They advised that the doors should be locked carefully at night
(Họ khuyên cửa nên được khóa cẩn thận vào ban đêm)
Cấu trúc: It’s one’s duty to V(inf)
Chủ động: It’s one’s duty to V (nhiệm vụ của ai làm gì)
Bị động: S + be + supposed + to V
Ví dụ:
It’s her duty to manage this project.
(Nhiệm vụ của cô ấy là quản lý dự án này)
She is supposed to manage this project.
(Cô ấy được giao nhiệm vụ quản lý dự án)
Cấu trúc: It’s impossible + to do sth
Chủ động: It’s impossible to do something (không thể làm gì)
Bị động: S + can’t be + VpII
Ví dụ:
It is impossible to fix that car.
(Sửa cái xe ấy là điều không thể)
That car can’t be fixed.
(Cái xe đó không thể sửa được)
Động từ: Cover, crowd, fill
Trong câu bị động, các động từ cover, crowd, fill sẽ được sử dụng với “with” thay vì “by”.
Ví dụ:
Chocolate covers the fruit.
(Socola phủ bên ngoài hoa quả)
The fruits are covered with chocolate.
(Hoa quả được phủ đầy bởi socola)
Trong một số trường hợp, nội động từ vẫn được sử dụng dưới hình thức bị động và phải đi kèm với giới từ.
Ví dụ:
She laughed at me.
(Cô ấy cười tôi)
I was laughed at. (by her)
(Tôi bị cô ấy cười)
We slept on that bed.
(Chúng tôi đã ngủ trên chiếc giường đó)
That bed was slept on. (by us)

Câu bị động với MAKE
Nếu trong câu chủ động, sau “make” là một động từ nguyên thể thì trong câu chủ động, động từ này sẽ được chuyển thành dạng to V (inf)
Ví dụ:
He made me smile.
