Today if there is any institution which has the greatest influence on us after the family, it is the school. The time that we spend in school are not only time spent in learning and filling our minds with knowledge, but also time spent forming our character, acquiring various attitudes and imbibing basic principles of life. The basic traits of our personality are formed during our school days.
The name of my school is Nguyen Binh Khiem High School. It is situated in the suburb of Hai Phong city. It is considered to be one of the finest schools in the city, highly acclaimed for its excellent for number of talented students. The school building is an impressive structure. It consists of four three – floor blocks and has about 36 classrooms. Classrooms are spacious and airy.
Two staircases at both ends lead to the floors. The school has a well-equipped library, a well- established science laboratory and two excellent computer room, all of which are situated on the a separate block.
There is an area for learning physical education and sports. Two cemented basketball courts stand in the right corner, while the school’s football field is in the center of the area. On the left center, there are two courts for badminton and volleyball. A small garden full of flower plants surrounds the school building adding to the charm and beauty of the entire complex.
My school has over 1200 students. Our headmaster is an experienced and efficient person who has been at his job for the last 10 years and more. Under his able direction, the school has been obtaining many good result and gain the dispute in the city. The teachers here are well-experienced and knowledgeable in their subjects.
A lot of emphasis are given to character formation, moral education and acquiring good values of life. Although the school environment is rather strict and time-table based, but there is lot of fun and joy in the school. Matches, tournaments, musical shows, competitions, events, etc. make my school life lively, interesting and enjoyable.

is dog. Dogs are well known for their intelligence and loyalty; and in my opinion, their
looks are also very cute. There are many different breeds in the world, and most countries
have at least one featuring dog breed of their own. Nowadays, most breeds of dog are not
the same as they were from hundred years ago, but they have been artificially selected for
parular appearances and behaviors by people for specific purposes. Because of this
selective breeding, dogs have developed into hundreds of varied breeds, and they show
more connection with people than any other land mammal. Some of the most popular
breeds are Golden Retriever, Siberian Husky, Alaska, Bulldog, Doberman, German
Shepherd, and it can be said that each breed has their own significant function in human’s
life. Dogs have been the best companions for human at a very early age, their roles in
hunting, herding, pulling loads and protection truly helped human in a lot of aspects.
More recently, they have developed more pracal roles in assisting police and military,
companionship, and helping handicapped ones, and most people accept that dogs appear
in their lives more than they had ever thought. My family has a little dog, and he has all
of the best qualities of a good one. He is actually my best friend since I am the one who
spends most time playing with him. I love him very much, but I have to accept a fact that
his life span is much shorter than human. A well – treated dog can live up to 12 or 15
years, and each year in dog’s life span is equal with 5 years in human’s one. Since dogs
are the most popular animal to show such love and loyalty to human, its shortage in life
span is truly a sad thing for all the dog lovers. Although I do not have much time with my
beloved dogs, I always love them as my best companions in life.

My mother often told me the stories about my uncles. They are all teachers, but my mother doesn’t. She couldn’t follow family traditional career. When she was 18, my mother also took an entrance exam to a pedagogical school, she only lacked half a point to get into school. My mother was not patient enough to wait for the next test, and she went to the South in my country to settle down. My family consists of 4 people. There are my father, my brother, my mother and I. My husband is forty-three years old, and he works as a factory worker. However in the evening after dinner, we sit together in the living-room talking, sometimes watching a funny movie. Then we go to our rooms to do something. She does every household work. She takes great care of all of us. She loves me very dearly. She is ready to sacrifice her own happiness for my happiness.
