Giống như EC Mc Kenzie đã nói: Cảm thông là chiếc chìa khóa mở cửa trái tim người khác. Thực vậy, cảm thông là sự thấu hiểu, sẻ chia, đồng cảm của mình với cảm xúc của người khác. Câu nói của Kenzie muốn nhấn mạnh đến ý nghĩa của cảm thông. Bước vào thế giới của người khác, không có chiếc chìa khóa nào bằng sự cảm thông. Cảm thông sẽ khiến người khác tin tưởng chúng ta hơn, dễ dàng chia sẻ những tâm sự của họ với mình. Cảm thông cũng giúp chính chúng ta học cách nhìn nhận người khác không vội vàng và thêm phần thấu hiểu họ hơn. Điều đó thực sự giúp cho cuộc sống này tốt đẹp và giảm bớt đi hận thù. Nhờ có cảm thông mà những ông bố bà mẹ hiểu con mình hơn, giúp con sẵn sàng chia sẻ và tin tưởng sự chỉ dẫn của bố mẹ mình. Nhờ có cảm thông mà một vị sếp dễ dàng trao cho nhân viên của mình cơ hội được sửa sai, học hỏi thêm kinh nghiệm. Khi đó họ sẽ cống hiến hết mình cho công việc. Cầm chiếc chìa khóa cảm thông trong tay, bạn có thể chẳng giải quyết được sự cố của ai đó, nhưng cũng khiến họ vui vì có người đã hiểu họ. Và chúng ta cũng thật đáng buồn, vì có những thầy cô cứ mắng nhiếc học sinh vì lỗi lầm mà không biết bạn ấy đang gặp vấn đề gia đình. Có những bố mẹ vì mong muốn của bản thân mà áp đặt con cái theo ý mình để rồi cánh cửa trái tim của những đứa trẻ ấy mãi không mở ra nữa. Chỉ đến khi có sự việc đáng tiếc xảy ra mới ân hận đầy muộn màng. Là chính bản thân mình cũng vậy thôi, muốn người khác hiểu mình thì trước hết bạn phải cảm nhận được họ đang cảm thông với mình. Không có điều đó, bạn hay tôi cũng chẳng muốn mở cửa trái tim. Giá trị của cảm thông trong cuộc sống chắc chắn còn lớn hơn việc là mở cửa được trái tim người khác. Hãy bắt đầu bằng việc đặt mình vào hoàn cảnh của họ, thấu hiểu, sẻ chia với họ để sự cảm thông không chỉ là chìa khóa mà còn là liệu pháp tinh thần mãi mãi ở có trong mỗi chúng ta.
