There are many sports, which are good for our health and popular over the world. Soccer is one of my favorite sports. It is played by two teams consisting of 11 people each team. The general rule is that the ball is kicked by leg and the players get score when having the ball in their goal post. Football is known as “king” among other sports. First, it improves integrity when applying several techniques to create strong power. Second, it not only reduces stress and bad cholesterol of body but also relaxes out spirit after a hard working day. My brother usually plays football every afternoon after work as he is in a local sport club. Moreover, football is not simply one kind of sport, it is an art because of the popularity. Since there is an increasing number of football team over the world such as: Manchester United, Barcelona, Arsenal with professional players. Although I am not able to play well, I love watching football matches as they are interesting and we can also learn from their technique. Furthermore, football is public concern as well as heated debate. Football is now popular through women, who are thought not able to play this kind of sport.

Khi nào thì phải thêm s/es cho từ?

Nói một câu dạng khẳng định, chúng ta cần xem xét việc có dùng s/es không còn tùy thuộc vào chủ từ phía trước.

He loves your voice anh ấy thích giọng của cậu đó.
She often gets up at 5 a.m cố ấy hay thức dậy lúc 5 giờ sáng
We talk about you. tụi mình nói chuyện về cậu.

Quan trọng đây , luôn luôn nhớ rằng, trong thì hiện tại đơn, ta thêm s/es khi chủ ngữ

S = he / she / it / danh từ số ít (ngôi thứ 3)

Ví dụ xem tí nào:

He comes home right now anh ấy về nhà ngay bây giờ đấy
She usually watches TV Show cô ấy thường xuyên coi chương trình tuyền hình.
it rains trời mưa
Nam often plays video game Nam rất hay chơi game điện tử
The dog loves me con chó rất thích mình.

nói thêm chút, ở ví dụ trên, Nam là tên riêng, danh từ riêng, số ít, một người nên ta thêm s/es cho động từ đứng sau. The dog con chó, ở đây chỉ có 1 con chó, số ítnên cũng thêm tương tự.

Lúc nào S , lúc nào ES ?

Thông thường, nếu chủ ngữ trong câu như đã nói ở trên, chúng ta chỉ việc thêm s cho động từ thôi.

He never eats breakfast anh ấy chẳng bao giờ ăn sáng cả
It almost never rains here hầu như ở đây trời không có mưa
The match starts at 7 o’clock trận đấu bắt đầu lúc 7
He sometimes visits me thỉnh thoảng anh ấy có thăm tôi
He usually tells lies anh ấy nói dối
My son feels sick every morning con trai tôi thấy không khỏe sáng mỗi sáng

Với những từ kết thúc bằng ch, sh, s, x, z thì ta thêm es vào cuối từ đó.

Nếu động từ kết thúc bằng consonant phụ âm + y thì ta thay y thành ies.

He never dries his hair after a shower anh ấy chẳng bao giờ chải tóc sau khi tắm cả

Những từ kết thúc bằng vowel nguyên âm + y thì ta chỉ việc thêm s vào cuối từ thôi.

pay / pays, buy / buys, enjoy / enjoys, play / plays

She never plays tennis cố ấy không bao giờ chơi ten-nít
Hương enjoys dancing Hương rất mê nhảy

Ngoài ra còn một số từ không theo quy tắc nào cả.

have – has

Sometimes she goes to work on foot thỉnh thoảng cô ấy đi bộ đi làm
She hardly ever does her homework cô ấy hầu như không bao giờ làm bài tập
Tom has a lot of money Tom có rất nhiều tiền

- thêm es khi từ có tận cùng là : ch , o , s, sh , x , z

- thêm s cho từ có tận cùng là các từ còn lại

Ít khi thấy cô bình luận hay trả lời, cô tên gì ạ?

Không ạ , tại mốc thời gian đó trong quá khứ/tương lai, hành động vừa mới kết thúc hoặc đang diễn ra một cách liên tục, chứ không hẳn là đã kết thúc hoàn toàn. Thì hoàn thành tiếp diễn nhấn mạnh vào thời lượng kéo dài của hành động trước một điểm thời gian xác định, không tập trung vào sự hoàn thành trọn vẹn.

vậy tức là hành động có thể kết thúc hoặc vẫn tiếp tục đúng không ạ, thì này sẽ nhấn mạnh quá trình kéo dài liên tục chứ không phải sự hoàn thành ạ?
