There are a lot of volunteer activities in Des Moines. One of my favorites is Meals from the Heartland. Meals from the Heartland allows volunteers to pack meals for the needy. Each shift is only 2 hours long. However, I always want to stay longer because it's fun to help people. These meals then will be shipped out to the needy ones in the city, in different states, and around the world. Meals from the Heartland is one of many fun and helpful volunteer activities in Des Moines.

In Vietnam, almost everyone, has been a volunteer work and I have too. At my age, I have not been donate blood so I often donate books, toys and clothes for street children and homeless people. I often do this work with my mother. Latest here on Sunday, I with my mother was used to donate books and clothes for a charity organization. In here, I met the orphans children. I played with them. Then I gave candies to them. They were all very happy.

Some people think doing volunteer work is waste of time but in my opinion, doing volunteer work help me relax after school and it help me healthy. When I doing this work, I feel very happy to bring happiness to them

In recent decades, there is a sharp increase in the number of people taking part in volunteering on account of some wonderful benefits that voluntary work can bring us as follows. In the first place, volunteering is beneficial to both mental and physical health. It has been shown that people will enjoy higher life satisfaction when being helpful to others, which allows them to get rid of stress, anxiety and depression. Secondly, volunteering builds a strong relationship among humans. It is easy to make friends with the same hobbies or purposes. That is why voluntary work is the perfect opportunity for people who are so shy and afraid of connecting with other people. Last but not least, people can gain work experiences and better career development. Such life skills can be gain through this activity as teamwork, problem-solving, time-management. Volunteering gives people free chances to try out new fields, testing new jobs to find the most suitable one in the future. To conclude, there are numerous personal benefits that people can gain by doing the volunteer work so it is encouraged that people should spend some free time to take part in this meaningful activity.

I am a student at high school. My school is very big and more beautiful. At school, there are many students and teachers. The teachers are very nice and ardor.They give me many many books and lessons. Everdday, I go to scool and meet my friends. We try to learn to become good student. We enjoy reading, playing, learning, helping together. In the scholl, I study so much, math, science, History, English , Vietnamese,...I like English, Chemistry, math. I can sleep when I study. I try alot, if I lazy, my teachers are sad. I love all the day for school and love my teachers so much. Because not people don't love their school. I love it and I know It's love us too. I love my school, my friends, my teachers very much. I can not forget this beloved high school. I will try study to worthy my teachers, my school.

I study in Luong The Vinh Secondary school which is one of the best schools of Phu Yen Province. It has a stone building. It has all facilities a good school should have-well furnished classrooms, laboratories, library and playground.

As we enter the school, there is a playground to our left and a small garden to our right. When we enter the building, the Principal’s room and the office room are to the left and the staff room to the right side. These are well furnished. There are thirty four classrooms. Our labs are well equipped. Our library has books almost on all subjects. Our Librarian is also very helpful.

Our school, like all schools, has a prescribed uniform. We have to wear white or cream cotton shirts, light-blue trousers, black shoes and white socks. Girls have to wear white blouses and light-blue skirts in primary and middle classes and white shirts and light-grey skirts in higher classes. They have to tie white ribbon also.

In our school special attention is paid to behavior, cleanliness and punctuality. The most well behaved, neat and punctual student is awarded a prize at the Annual Day function.

Our Principle is a strict disciplinarian. He takes the help of P. T. Teachers too. If any one violates the rules, and is not in uniform, or makes mischief, he gets punished. But he is fair and loving. He tries to find out the reason and guides us.

Our teachers are also quite strict. They teach us with great care, check our note-books, help us when we need but if we are inattentive and don’t work properly, then we are punished.

I like my school very much and I am proud that I belong to it. I shall never forget it.

I want to provide food, clothes and blankets for street children. I want to do it because I want to share the things I have with children who are in need. I hope no child will be hungry and cold. I will cook food and bring it to street children on the weekends. I will also encourage my friends to donate clothes and blankets to them.

The importance of community service eventually relies on how the provider perceives it. These programs are intended to inculcate a sense of community and civic engagement in people. The more hours people spend doing community work, the more the service will help them in realizing their educational, social and developmental goals.
