My Most unforgettable childhood experience
I was spending my holidays in my summer cottage. It was a warm night and we were watching stars in my friend’s backyard. It was about 1 o’clock a.m. and we were getting sleepy. We decided to go to sleep and as my friend’s house was across the street and my parents were already sleeping, I had to go home by myself. There is a forest near our house and a little gate leads into the forest. Just in front of the gate, is a streetlight with green shimmer.I took a step and looked at the gate. In greenish light was standing a man. A man in black coat. At the same time my friend shouted something and I turned my head. When I looked back, the man had disappeared. My friend told me to go home and that my eyes had played a trick on me. I walked towards my house, I turned to the gate to be sure that it had been only my imagination. And there stood the man again.I screamed and ran home. Later in bed, still trembling with fear and shock I tried to convince myself that there had been nobody and finally I managed to calm down. Since that day, in the evenings I am afraid to go home from my friend’s house.

Describe a bedroom
Like a paradise, my room is the only place where I feel free, warm and comfotable for relaxing after a tiring day at school.
My room has simple design and everything looks neat and clear. It's a beautiful room because it is decorated by myself. I use bright color for the wall and blue ties to inspire an intimate feeling to the space. Besides, my room looks warm and airy with two huge windows on the two sides of the room , and some lamps on the walls . I like the computer in my room most because it helps me a lot for my study.
In my house I like my room most, I can do everything in it. I'm the owner of my own space so I always try to keep it clear and neat

My family usually shops at the supermarket. The supermarket provides a wide range of goods which are displayed under one roof. This helps save a lot of time. If you go to a local market, you have to go to a lot of store and stall to buy stuff which is really time consuming and tired. Another advantage of shopping in supermarket is that you can have more options for the same product for you to choose. For example, there are often one or two fixed brands of soap to choose in a store, but you can see about 10 – 15 brands of soaps if you go to the supermarket. Another thing we like to shop in supermarket is that you can enjoy your shopping experience without worrying about the weather. A lot of people come to the supermarket to avoid the heating or rain from outside. To summarize, we like to shop in supermarket because there are a lot of kinds of goods, each goods has many options to choose and we can enjoy shopping without worrying about the weather.
My family primarily shops at a combination of local grocery stores and online retailers. We prefer to support local businesses when possible as it helps strengthen our community and promotes small-scale entrepreneurship. Additionally, shopping locally often allows us to find fresh and locally sourced produce, which is not only beneficial for our health but also reduces our carbon footprint by minimizing transportation distances. However, we also rely on online shopping for convenience and access to a wider range of products. It provides the flexibility to compare prices, read reviews, and have items delivered right to our doorstep. Balancing both options ensures that we can meet our needs while supporting local businesses and enjoying the benefits of online shopping.
- Benefits of doing volunteer work:
Volunteering has become so popular over the last 20 years or so because people want to experience a different type of holiday as well as helping others. And since the borders of Nepal opened in the 1960`s it’s become one of the best countries for people who are interested in volunteering due to the poverty levels in so many areas.
The volunteer gets to give their time in projects designed to help the poorer members of the community. And in return the volunteer will learn about their hosts and the country that they live in. With the right organisation it can be such a rewarding experience with you coming away with lifelong friends and memories.
But everyone has a part to play because when you are looking for a volunteer experience you must check the quality of the organisation you are going to volunteer with because there are many that is a way of making money making for the owners. And with every person being different in their requirements for a great experience we advise you to ask as many questions you need to feel at home.
At Education & Health Nepal we actually encourage regular emails in preparation for your experience in Nepal. Whether Teaching English in Kathmandu or heading for a medical placement in Gerkhu all projects are different so please feel free to get in touch. The only projects that are generally the same throughout Nepal are working with orphanages or daycare centres because in all areas the children need people to care for them and help to show a better life can be had.
But one of the most important things that you will learn from your time volunteering is to have fun and learn something about yourself in a different environment
