I have just returned from a 1-week holiday with my friends in Da Nang and Quang Ngai. We stayed most of the time in Da Nang. Then we spent the last few nights in a very picturesque and historic place called Hoi An Old Town. We had such a relaxing time on our holiday. We enjoyed some wonderful local food. It’s really delicious. The activities we enjoyed on holiday were walking, swimming and go out at night. The water is so fresh and clean, and the temperature is just refreshing – not too hot and not too cold. We went hiking in the mountains nearly for some days, which was very good for our fitness. I really enjoyed this holiday. I loved the fresh air and the scenery, and of course the food. I will certainly be going back there another year, as I think it’s one of my favourite parts of the world.

If anyone who asks me that “What’s the thing your most proud of?” .I will answer that’s my hometown. Duc Tho is the land poor where the people live by rice cultivation, breeding, and fishing. Although the life is very difficult, but the people is very friendly, and studious. In Duc Tho, there is a Tung Anh village where called “Doctor village”. Duc Tho is also the home of Tran Phu Secretary General, and marked many memories of the great leader Ho Chi Minh.

If you come to Duc Tho, you will feel many interesting things, visiting Tran Phu tombstone, La Giang dyke, rowing on La driver, and enjoying the traditional songs. In the evening, they can enjoy a special food which is “mussel rice” – just only eat one time, you will never forget.

Beautiful and unobtrusive! Duc Tho always tries to grow, and to improve the life of people, but keeping the traditional culture.

My best friend is Lan. We have known each other since we were 10 years old. If I were to describe how she looks I would say she is very pretty. She has long black hair a straight nose and a small pointed chin. She is quite slim. She doesn t like to dress up so I usually see her wearing jeans and a T - shirt. She has a very nice personality and a wonderful sense of humour but she can also get a little depressed from time to time.

I lived in Boulder, Colorado for most of my adult life. It's a broad mix of socio-economic statuses but overall it's a very liberal town that's often compared to the likes of Austin, Santa Cruz, San Fran, or Portland. My house was in the south eastern end of town and was three houses down from an elementary school. It was set a few blocks in from the highway so while access was convenient there was no road noise, and I was about a block away from the nearest two lane (each way) road. CU Campus was about a 14 block walk west and if you could get a line of sight from the trees the Flatirons were clearly visible in the same direction. Neighbors ranged from college students, to middle aged professionals to even a few retirees.

My name is Minh Duong Khang and I’m a Vietnamese. I am ten years old. I live in Ho Chi Minh city in the south of Vietnam.

I have a big family with six people. I have two sisters and a brother. My sisters are older and my brother is younger than me. My father is a teacher at a secondary school. He has worked for 35 years in the field and he is my biggest role model in life. My mother is a housewife. She is nice and she is really good at cooking. I love my family so much.

I and Khai are teammates in our school’s soccer team, and that is the reason we became best friends. At first we did not know each other, but we quickly became close after just a few weeks. Khai is a good player, so he always helps me prace to improve my skills. In order to thank him, I become his instructor in some of the subjects in class. I am as tall and slim as Khai, and many people say that we look brothers. In fact, we are even closer than brothers. We can share almost everything, from feelings to clothes and hobbies. I am always proud of our friendship, and we will keep it this as long as we can.

Last Saturday, our school football team played a match with Laxman

Public School. It was played in our school playground. A large number of

students of both the schools were present to witness the match. At 2 p.m,

the teams entered the field and took their positions. After the toss, the

referee blew the whistle and the match began. Our school football team

played very well from the beginning. We scored four goals before

half-time. After the interval, the teams changed the sides. Laxman Public

School had managed to score three goals before the interval. Laxman

Public School tried their best to equalise the score. The captain of

Laxman Public School got the ball and scored an easy goal. The referee

blew the whistle and the game came to an end. The match exciting ended

in a draw

Hi my name is Linh and currently I’m 12 years of age. I have a nice personality and am very easy to get along with. This is my first semester of secondary school a lot of other people.
