Fifty years ago, my town was very different. It was small and (1) __________ because there weren't many people or cars. There were only a few houses and shops. Fifty years ago, my town, Greenville, was very small and quiet. There was only one school, and it was a long walk for us. The roads were narrow. There were only a few cars, so the streets were safe for children to play on. There wasn't a big supermarket; people shopped at a small store. Life was very simple then.

Now, Greenville is bigger and noisier! There are three schools. The roads are busy with a lot of cars. There's a modern shopping centre in the middle of the town. It is a very different place, but the old park is still here, just as it was fifty years ago!
