I live in a big city, and my house is not very big since there are only rich people who can afford to live in a spacious house. Every room in my house is just enough for our activities, so we do not have much space for the living room. However, we try our best to decorate it because it is where the whole family gathers after a long day staying outside. We lay down a thick rug on the floor, it both helps to decorate and keep the floor safe from the scratches. To save some space, we put the TV and the loud speakers on the wall. The Play Station, DVD player and other electronic devices are put in a small cabinet in the corner of the room, and we only take them out whenever we want to play something. In the middle of the room is a glass table, we put on the surface a bottle of fresh water and some cups so everyone can have a quick drink before leaving or after coming back to the house. Behind the table is a big white couch, and it can be considered as the biggest thing in the living room. My mother loves the pastel tone, so the walls are painted in cream color; and they all go very well with the couch. We do not have any window there, so we install an air conditioner to keep the atmosphere cool. We hang some pictures of landscape as well as painting on the walls to make the room livelier. There are also a pot of a small plant in the corner of the room, so we can get some fresh air from it. Every night, we would gather to watch TV or sing karaoke, and it is my favorite time of the day. Although the living room is no too big, our family will always have good times there together.

Chúng tôi không có cái cửa sổ nào ở đó, vậy nên chúng tôi đã lắp máy điều hoà nhiệt độ để giữ không khí mát mẻ. Chúng tôi cũng treo một vài bức tranh phong cảnh cũng như tranh vẽ trên tường để làm căn phòng trông sống động hơn. Trong góc phòng cũng có một chậu cây cảnh nhỏ để chúng tôi có thể có được một chút không khí trong lành từ nó. Mỗi buổi tối, chúng tôi sẽ tụ họp lại để xem TV hoặc hát karaoke; và đó là khoảng thời gian yêu thích nhất của tôi trong ngày. Mặc dù phòng khách không quá lớn, gia đình chúng tôi luôn có những khoảng thời gian tốt đẹp ở đó.

Every day, I supply them with food so they look so chubby. All members in our family love this room so much, we keep it always clean and neat. In the future, it will definitely be furbished more, becomes more comfortable to welcome the members back home after a stressful day.

2.I am a student, live alone in a small apartment on the 12th floor of a residential area.To me, a beautiful living room is also a bedroom and a dining room. I paint the room pink color so it looks pretty young and warm. Right next to the door of the room, I have put a clothes hook to hang umbrellas, coat and bags. In the middle of the room is a soft brown sofa,it is also a temporary bed for me. The workers in the village leave their homes early in the morning to work in the plantations or towns nearby. A few of the villagers, including women, go out to catch fish in the streams and rivers found in the village. Though the people of the village do not usually earn much, yet they seem to be contented.

In the afternoon, most of the villagers are at home. Some of them take a nap after lunch; some work in their small gardens, and some visit the small shops in the village. In various parts of the village children may be seen playing the popular games of the village. Occasionally, a cyclist passes by.

Then, in the evening, the villagers meet one another. Some play cards and other types of games peculiar to the village. Some talk about the day's incidents in the village, and those whose minds go beyond the village discuss world events.

In almost every village there is a headman whose duty is to settle quarrels among the villagers and maintain peace in the village. Whenever there is a dispute, the villagers go to the headman who is held in such esteem that his word has the force or law. In this way the villagers have developed their own simple laws, and the crimes of cities are almost unknown to the people of the village.

During a festival, the whole village is alive with activities. Everyone is in a happy mood and plays his part to make the festival a success. This is the time for the men, women and children of the village to wear their best clothes and the village is full of colour. These simple ways of life in the village, however, must soon change. Progress in science and education has already begun to affect the outlook of the people in the village, and hundreds are leaving the village to seek their fortunes in the towns and cities.

I like living in the countryside because of some reasons. Environmentally speaking, it is a peaceful place. The air is fresh. The space is quiet. We can enjoy healthy natural conditions without
worrying much about environmental pollution.
As for social security, the countryside is a safer place than a city. While urban security situation is always complicated with all kinds of crimes, rural areas are much more secure because most of countrymen are friendly and ready to help one another.
Moreover, rural life is also easier that in cities. People in cities are easy to get stressed because of pollution, job pressures, competitions, etc ... On the contrary, those bad things
are very rare in the countryside. To sum up, except income matters, the countryside is a better residence than cities.

Summer vacations are the best time to relax and enjoy with family and friends, it’s the time I eagerly waited for every year.And,in this summer holiday,I will go to Vung Tau– the city which has most beatiful beaches in Vietnam with my family.We will stay there for 2 days at a small hotel. First day, we will get up early to see the sunrise on the beach. Then we swim and lay down on the sand to enjoy beautiful sunlight and the clear blue sky. We also enjoy delicious seafood and drink fresh coconuts.The next day, it will take us about 30 minutes to hike up the Small Mountain to visit the Lighthouse. But it is really worth the try!The lighthouse is beautiful and it is a really interesting site.I hope the weather during the time we stay will really good.. We will take many photographs to save our memorable vacation and buy a lot of souvenirs, too.

It will be a great joy or happiness for everyone if we can own a house designed by ourselves. A house in my dream is not necessarily a large house, as long as it fits my style and character. Nowadays, more and more people choose to live in the city. In this essay, I will discuss about the advantages and disadvantages of living in the city.

It can't be denied that living in the city has many benefits. First of all, if we live in the city, we will have many chances get the developing science and technology. It means that we will have more job opportunities and broaden our knowledge more easily. Secondly, we will have many different ways to spend our free time. There are a lot of theatres, concerts and other kinds of entertainment. There is always a lot to do and visit There are a lot of possibilities of shopping. In various shopping centres and galleries you can buy whatever you want. What is more, a big city is a potential market for trading activities, so we can earn more money to provide our family a comfortable life

Besides advantages, living in the city brings to us a lot of disadvantages. Firstly, a problem about which everyone is worrying is environment. The increase of factories based on industrialization and modernization has severely polluted environment. Smoke from factories' chimneys not only pollutes the air but also makes people get many serious cancers. Sewage is bumped into rivers without being purged, which threatens underwater ecosystems. The second drawback of living in the city is society's vices such as drug addiction. Young people. especially the students, are easily spoiled by bad habits. If people use up all the money, they can't control themselves and even become robbers or murders. Moreover, a problem that many people living in the city have is heartlessness. With some people, it's not worth being worried and it has no effect on our life, people are too busy to care for any others. But if more and more people become heartless, the society will be worse, no one cares another one, they live boring lives, every purposes became meaningless, without love, sympathy and many other good things.

There are good things as well as bad thing of living in the city. However, I strongly believed that advantages outweigh disadvantages. If people know how to live and enjoy their life, living in the city is one of the most interesting things that people want to experience.

The places where people live affects greatly in their lifestyles and the living place is one of the very basic needs for people. People opine differently while choosing the living places. Some prefer and argue that city is the best place to live at since it provides so many advantages over the rural area, but other think that villages are the best places to live a good life. Both places have advantages and disadvantages.

It is true that a city offers so many opportunities and advantages those are absent in a countryside. For instance, the modern transportation and communication systems are better in any city compared to a village. In a city people have access to many different transportation systems and have latest technologies to communicate; like cellular phones, internet, fax etc. Moreover, when a new technology arrives at the country it is first introduced in the city area and usually 2/3 years later to the village. Secondly, cities provide better security to its inhabitants like the mobile police patrols, special forces, community police, security guards, traffic police etc. But in the village, the number of security force persons are too low compared to the overall population. Moreover, cities provide better treatment, hospitals, qualified doctors, better educational institutes, and amusement parks etc which are really inevitable to lead a better life. In many cases, those facilities are absent or rare in a village. In my opinion, the reason for why most people tend to live in a city is the vast opportunities of jobs. Most of the corporate offices, industries, factories, government offices, garments and manufacturing industries are either situated in a city or close to the city. People have much more employment opportunities in a city than a village. On the contrary, people living in a village, are often forced to do a job that is not suitable at all for him since the job opportunity is so narrow there. Again, schools or colleges are not equipped with a better environment, labs, teachers and that's why students in a village might not get a better education he/she deserves. If we consider the entertainment facilities in a city then citizens of a city have so many options like theatre, park, art gallery, museum, amusement parks, libraries etc. But people in the villages have only TV or books and very little facilities to spend leisure time.

On the other hand, Villages offer many invaluable advantages those are completely absent in the cities. First of all, someone living in a village can get fresh air and water. There is no intense pollution with smoke, Carbon-DI-oxide, Carbon-mono-oxide, Nitrous-Oxide and people living in a village are less prone to suffer diseases like asthma, bronchitis etc. The city can provide security against visible foes but it causes people to face some invisible and dangerous enemies like toxic and polluted air, water and environment. Secondly, people of villages live much nearer to the nature and breathe in the fresh air, as well as eat fresh foods, vegetables, fruits collected directly from the garden. On the contrary vegetables, foods, fruits in the cities are normally stored and mixed with preservatives and can cause serious harms to the health. The living cost in a countryside is much lesser than that of a city. The density of population in a village is much less than a city and village people are naturally grow up their personal relationship among all people and live like a real community and take care of each other. While in the city people do not know even who live in the next door and personal relationship in a community is rare.

In my case, I prefer to live in the city. I feel relaxed and comfortable staying in my own city. There are lots of facilities I can't deny are presented in my city and those are the invaluable part of my lifestyle. Moreover, I like to lead a busy and challenging life and want to be connected with the world. I enjoy visiting countryside but get bored there if I stay more than 2/3 days because all of my necessary stuff to lead my as usual life are absent there.
